Developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the Cyber Advisor Scheme is a cost-effective initiative aimed at helping small and medium sized organisations ensure they have baseline cyber security controls in place, helping protect them from the most common cyber threats.
The scheme will help organisations identify the skills and advice they need and can also help prepare those looking to achieve Cyber Essentials Certification.

How Does the Cyber Advisor Scheme Work?
Focusing on the Cyber Essentials controls, our team will start off by assessing your organisation and your internet-facing IT and identify where you meet (or don’t meet) the Cyber Essentials standard.
The Cyber Advisor scheme centres around the Cyber Essentials controls, because the NCSC recognises this as a good baseline standard that defends against a range of common and likely cyber threats.
Our team will produce a detailed report explaining how the controls are met or not, and highlight any risks your organisation is exposed to, providing recommended solutions that are suited to your organisation.
We’ll offer hands-on, practical experience to implement the Cyber Essentials controls, with confidence that they will significantly improve your security when correctly implemented.
Although we will help your organisation meet the Cyber Essentials technical controls, you do not need to be aiming for Cyber Essentials Certification if you do not need it. The advice our team will offer you will be tailored around the Cyber Essentials standard, which will prepare your organisation if you do wish to certify.
